Mallika Sharma

I am a Ph.D. student at the Department of Economics. My research interests are energy and environmental economics, with a keen interest in electricity markets. My current research studies entail electric vehicle charging incentives and adoption rates, charging behaviour and interactions between provincial and federal fuel economy standards and other climate policies. I also assist in field experiments studying the centralized and decentralized demand responses to dynamic prices of multiple smart devices, including EV charging responses.

I have previously worked with CDP (not-for-profit for environmental disclosure), involved with the Scoring and Data team for developing scoring methodologies, scoring companies and analysis of environmental disclosure data, and with Ford Motor Pvt Ltd as a Market Research Analyst. I hold a M.Sc. in Environmental Economics from the Madras School of Economics, India.
